Andrea Thielk, B.A., LL.B., J.D.
Principal Lawyer
Andrea Thielk has over 29 years of legal experience and focuses her practice on Condominium and Housing Law, Civil Litigation, and Human Rights matters.
Andrea is a founding member, Past-President and current Director of the Windsor-Essex Chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute established in 2001.
Andrea has been accredited as a Professional in Condominium Law by the Canadian Condominium Institute – National Office, and has served as a guest lecturer for Elder College, the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario, and the Canadian Condominium Institute. With this wealth of experience and knowledge, Andrea represents Boards of Directors and Property Managers of Condominium Corporations, Townhome Associations, Non-Profit Housing Associations, and Co-operative Housing Associations as their general corporate counsel as daily legal issues arise.
Andrea will provide you with prompt and professional advice on all areas from drafting your Governing Documents, enforcing compliance with those Governing Documents, collecting common maintenance fees and rent, registering liens, and insurance and risk management matters. She is committed to assisting clients in seeking early resolutions to disputes in a knowledgeable and prudent manner. While it is never the goal to enter into litigation, sometimes it is unavoidable; in these cases, Andrea is prepared and experienced to protect your interests.
Andrea has also earned her certification in Human Rights Theory and Practice from Osgoode Hall Law School and can assist you with proactive solutions and advice on navigating the human rights complaints process, completing necessary forms, and advocating for you at the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.
Andrea also offers legal services which include preparing policies for human rights, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, privacy and surveillance matters to assist clients in avoiding and defending complaints.

Nicole Couvillon, BScN, JD
Lawyer
Nicole Couvillon is a graduate of the JD program at the University of Windsor. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Windsor, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In addition to achieving the President's and Dean's Honour Rolls, and being the recipient of the 2015, 2016 and 2018 Board of Governors In-Course Medals in her nursing program, she continued to work at the law firm. She subsequently worked as a registered nurse before pursuing law school.
Nicole enjoys engaging with her local community, and enjoyed engaging with her law school community, including through her work as a lead tutorial assistant for the law school’s Academic Success Program, her volunteerism as a peer mentor, and through her volunteerism with Pro Bono Students Canada Windsor Law Chapter. Nicole was committed to academics at the University of Windsor and was the recipient of the Law (JD) 2023 Board of Governors In-Course medal and the 2024 Board of Governors medal for academic excellence. Nicole has worked for local lawyers in the community, and as a summer student for Legal Assistance of Windsor. She has worked part-time for Andrea Thielk’s law firm throughout her education since 2011 and articled at Shibley Righton LLP, a full-service law firm.

Luke Schwartzentruber
Legal Research Assistant
Luke has worked part-time for Andrea Thielk’s law firm since 2024 while studying toward an honours degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at the University of Western Ontario. After graduating as valedictorian of his high school class, additionally earning the Social Science Award of Excellence and the International Studies Award, Luke has made the Dean's Honour Roll in every year of his time at Western University. Luke is a talented and passionate student with an aspiration for the law, which is shown in his work at the law firm, leaving no stone unturned, and with an attention to detail.
